Membership
Anyone of good moral character who wants to be involved with the Women's Board work by faithfully committing herself to its projects and activities may be a member.
A Member of good standing may sponsor a candidate for membership. The Chairperson of the Membership Committee must submit the names of the new members to the Board of Managers. The names of the new members and their sponsors shall be published in the Newsletter.
Sponsors must ensure that their recruits - new members volunteer to work in any of the various committees and to support the Women's Board projects.
New memebrs are required to render at least 100 hours of service for the first year. Regular (old) members are expected to give at least 50 hours of volunteer service per year; and to pay annual membership dues.
Meetings
The Women's Board meets at 9:00 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the MAB Penthouse. The Board of Managers meets at 9:00 a.m. on the last Wednesday of each month at the workshop.
Dues
Annual dues for members are as follows:

These are payable at the first general meeting of each year. The deadline for payment of dues will also be no later than the end of February each year.
Any member who fails to pay her due on cut-off date shall be deleted from the membership roster, the telephone directory and the listing for the Bulletin Board.

The Thrift Exchange
The Thrift Exchange, situated in the hospital compound, has been in operation since 1928. It is an outlet for slightly used articles of all descriptions.
Members are expected to make at least four donatuions a year to the Thrift Exchange and may send items for consignment.

Hospital Services
Household helpers of qualified memebrs of the Women's Board are entitled to a 50% discount on the following:
+ Complete Blood Count
+ Urinalysis
+ Chest X-Ray
+ Stool Examination
+ Normal Delivery
+ RPR
Members are requested to send with their helpers a note, requesting an examination by the Doctor, to the Head Nurse in the OPD.
Upon presentation of their membership card to the Cashier/Billing Dept., qualified members (those who have completed the minimum required hours of service) will receive a 20% discount on hospital services and 10% on medicines. Their spouses and dependent children receive a 10% discount for both hospital services and medicines. |
